Somewhere in Ohio…

lives a girl
a single drink
turns to glass
she begs
for someone
to just shut up
& fuck her
so she can feel

something; anything

she resides
with a guy
who has been
married two times
man caught
out of time
his best years
far behind

too busy
cheating to hold
each other
terrified
of what
they may find
twist & turn
apologize & lie

the stench still smells
people still cry
happy with misery
ride it till
the day they die
they/re just passing time
till something better
another life.

banksy

Today, I think I will die
Breathe carbon dioxide
Gargle some peroxide

Be surgically sterilized
Vaccinated for meningitis
Before being paralyzed

A nature dystrophic
So, take a psychotropic
To better commit suicide

Ascension

Her voice It lulls me
in a seductive sense
of false serenity
telling me to eat this
to help me sleep
through a nightmare
once a dream
let me tell you
a real scream
away from I crawl
we all slowly bleed
down from our crosses
& the good thieves
they/ve poisoned
the ancient tree
stay looking up
squinting to see
a better kingdom
of divine majesty
we try to fly
we want to believe
wings broke from fall
unable to leave…

We are but shades of light
some
the angels shine upon
others
the demons cast down

Lift us up
spin us round
change in a paper cup
of this paper had enough

Just want to be free
of this bullshit
live in a hut
teach children Chinese
but this fuckin/ city
has got it’s claws in me

Takes The Pain A/Way

She has seduced me
reduced me
of my heart
made mince meat

Some are running
through a dead forest
and we ain/t seen
green in a minute

But I could care
less as long as
she is in it

She takes the pain
away as long as
she is in it

SLOW

this morphine drip
her scent
comes through
in wisps
& time
stinks like a
coffin, the
red satin
fabric folded

ALL IN THE NOW

SO

from the past
we can flee
but when we
run we run
into the
future yet
again confront
the past
there exists

NO PAST PERFECT

THOUGH

this tangled
web we weave
will entangle
& seize
our right to
have a soul
have hope
stay changed
/till you can

ONE DAY BREAK FREE
