a clean break

Posted: September 16, 2013 in Uncategorized

When she tries

harder

to not

break his

heart she

shatters

it to pieces

with hands

merciful

he wants

her bad

she wants

the same

thing but

different

he can

still smell

her hair

she lingers

on his

skin &

in the air

still she

tells him

she can’t

let this start

yet he

continues

to build

her castles

in the

sand for her

tears to

wash them

all away.

Slyly Satanic satin
world is undone
dreams
are but food
nightmares
feed on

As children
we climbed
green trees

Now children
gather
artificial
leaves

Sacrificed
diversity
for a uniform
for fashion

Precious
time traded
for paper
tickets
to an empty
show

Go ahead
& fear

We are alone

Slyly Satanic satin
world is undone
dreams
are but food
nightmares
feed on

A Soft Hard-Break

Shatteredglass-1

she says it
would
 not be
her
fault if he
were to fall
in love with her
he thanks his
stars that she
looks away
for such a smile
is a sun
the brightest day
fire for trial

paper heart
incinerates
scars & burns
pain it gives
but time it takes
wait in turn
stones & sticks
& clever tricks
all we have
evaporates
